Hi

Have a browse through the following (happy reading) -

"Palette AND Background AND Color" - 24 results from the Autodesk Discussion Groups (http://discussion.autodesk.com/search!execute.jspa?numResults=25&source=forumlist%7C8&q=Palette+AND+Background+AND+Color&objID=c8&search=Search)

Have a good one, Mike

How about this? (in autocad 2005, should also work in 2004) Take your symbol, make a copy of it. Explode if necessary, change the color to White. Then reblock if you exploded. Now drag that block onto the palette. It will make a black symbol. This is a temporary button. Now go to your colored symbol on the tool palette, right click on it, and go to Properties. Now right-click on the image itself, and choose 'Specify Image'. It should take you to the folder where all your images are. Choose the version of the new 'black' image you just made. Click Open, then OK to get out of all dialog boxes.

Now delete the 'temporary' button from the palette, and you are left with your original tool, with a new black linework symbol.

You can use this same method to make an image for any button you create. anything you can draw in AutoCAD can become a button image. Really easy way to customize your buttons.

This changes the tool bar background but not the tool palette backgroung - at least in ADT2006 anyway.

As stated by Autodesk (http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7315), over on the Autodesk Discussion Groups...

In vanilla AutoCAD it's a percentage of Windows 3D Object color.Have a good one, Mike
