Hopefully I am putting this in the right place. I currently using civil 3d 2009 and i have the map transparency option on. It does what it should and allows the transparency to occur within the map data. The problem is when I print to either paper or pdf etc it removes my excel embedded chart from the drawing. It is a simple object that appears within the print preview but once the the map has been printed it is gone. I have tried swapping its layers and inserted it in as several different formats. Currently I am using the method of Paste Special>Picture (Enhanced Metafile). I am using this format so I am able to go back and edit the chart with ease. I have also tried inserting using Paste Special as a Excel Worksheet and just as a Picture (Metafile). Neither of these methods work either. I have a feeling that I am missing a small option somewhere that is causing my chart not to be printed. Also I tried making the background a different color to see if that resolves the issue. I have cut the transparency option off and the excel chart prints without a problem. I also moved it to paper space and still have the problem. I am going to keep playing with options and see what I can figure out on my own. Let me know what you think and at this point I will try anything to try to get it to do what I need it to do.
Thanks Matt
