CAD gurus,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Unfortunately its back to work and my AutoCAD doesnt want to play right.
See my image below of the error message.

I dont recall installing anything new lately. However IT pushes updates out to our computers regularly.

I've tried reinstalling 4 times now. The last time, I also uninstalled the .NET Framework version 3 so that it would reinstall with AutoCAD. I also have tried combinations of installing or not installing AutoCAD 2009 SP2.

Still get the error message. Can anyone offer something else to try?

Much Thanks,
-Tad

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have tried this and still not able to get into AutoCAD.

I uninstalled each of the .NET Framework versions as they suggested. Then uninstalled AutoCAD.
I reboot and then proceeded to install AutoCAD.

Something of Note: .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0 were both installed during the AutoCAD installation? Does that sound correct?

Thanks,
-Tad

I am not sure but the IT Guy that I knew told me that basic rule of installing a Program is to turn-off Anti-Virus(es).

We have a solution.....:screwy:

We noticed that some other AutoDesk applications were using NET Framework 3.5 with sp1. Since our error was NET Framework related, we thought we would try installing the newer Framework.

AutoCAD 2009 is now running with NET Framework 3.5 and the sp1 for Framework.

I dont have an answer why, but it is working...........and in the end that is what really matters isnt it?

Hope this may be of some help to others.

My coworker had the same problem just this morning. He had the beta version of NET Framework 2.2. It wouldn't allow him to install 2009 until he uninstalled that and updated to the lastest version. I would image the 3.5 is the one he installed. Once he did that, everything went fine.
