Why can I not use the Count parameter in formulas for my schedule?

If I can't use the Count calculate my totals for an element.

What do I use in it's place? I am trying to create an equipment schedule and need to have a unit cost and a total cost.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how I can total my equipment and also explain why I can't us the count Parameter. I don't understand why I can't.

Kind of backwards but it works....


In your schedule, under formatting, check "calculate totals" for your cost parameter. It will then report the extended costs, i.e count*cost.

Make a calculated parameter for your schedule called i.e. "unit cost"
and for its formula, use just the original parameter cost. This new parameter will report the unit cost.
