I have a wall that is at an angle and I need the planks to follow the wall I don't see a way to "stretch" the plank. is there a way I can do this without duplicating it?

you can draw the planks longer than they actually need to be, draw a reference plane at the face of the wall and then use the cut geometry tool to cut the planks at the desired angle..

Thank you MMcFadden, that was simple enough (but never crossed my mind)

If you don't wish to clutter your project up with refernce planes you can use the "opening by face" tool, provided your family is set up to allow vertical cuts.
In the days before the "edit beam joins" tool I would frequently have to resort to reference planes to trim beams and its quite frustrating when someone deletes one without warning, not to muntion cutting a section through a project could get quite cluttered.
