Hey Gang!

Anyone have a slick trick on how to place photo images in a floor plan view and yet have them not load when not needed?

I'm working on a modernization project and would like to be able to place building condition photos into the floor plans. I thought I would be able to workset those images so that they wouldn't load all the time unless needed. No luck. Images come in under the view workset name. Am I missing something?

Turn Raster Images on/off in the view?

Make View Templates which have Raster Images on/off--apply view template to various views?

cheers......

What about linkng in a Revit file with the images loaded and placed in that file

Thanks Guys.

I thought about the linking approach late yesterday. We're giving that a shot to see if we can keep it straight. It would be nice to have the ability to place hyperlinks in our Revit models. I know we can place URL's into our Element Data.

I know this is a late response, but have you thought about creating a workset for your CAD imports? That way when you open your file you can specify which worksets you want to open... This can greatly reduce memory usage when you don't need those imports to be loaded.

Just a thought.
