Everytime I save My files shrink in size. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2009 and it still isn't working. Any ideas

This is fairly typical. Sometimes saving the file or especially doing a "save as" function will compact the file database and the file will become smaller. You are not losing information if you open the file again are you? I would not be too worried about the file size getting smaller if you are not losing data when you open the file back up again.

Is this a problem, like you are losing data? Or are you just watching the file size for no reason?
