Graphical Lintel in Walls

I am trying to represent a lintel in a wall with symbolic lines added to an opening family. I would like the symbolic lines to show at level above. Any input would be great!

Even though you want to use symbolic line, the trick is to draw an invisible model line, in your case vertically up far enough so that the view cut plane of the view above cuts the invisible model line. It's an old trick that still works today.
