new line type / existing dtl component

My project leader asked me to put detail components on the existing and new portions of a wall section, but still show a difference between existing and new construction work.

I noticed that the detail components don't have a phase type, so I figured I would just copy and modify the families I have.

It looks like I don't have the right line-type available in the drop down menu. How do I make or get the line types I want in there?
