All,
A problem has developed with my railings on a project. The top and bottom extensions used to be level and now they dip down at both the top and bottom. What would cause this?

Is the baluster/end posts' height lower at the ends--and thus they are attaching to
them?

Hard to tell from the jpg

cheers......................

You need to do a couple of things. One, edit each railing (individually), when in the edit mode where you can see the (pink?) line, select one smaller segment at the end, and in the toolbar change it from Automatic or sloped to Flat. Repeat on the small segment at the other end, and repeat. Noe, you'll need to adjust the endpoints of these lines, to raise, or lower the end you are trying to work with. The issue is with the line segments, not the baluster definitions.
