I thought I saw a thread on scheduling costs but I cant seem to find it anymore. When you put in a cost in a wall or slab how does that get scheduled? Is it a total cost or can you do a lin/ft or sq/ft cost and have it calculate it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

In the Fields section of the schedule you are going to create a Calculated value. Make sure the parameters you want are in the field, i.e. cost and area or volume, whichever, then create a calculated value, using a formula with those two parameters. It can be a little tricky using the right units and make sure you use * for multiplication and not x. I believe, also, that you have to check the Itemize every instance box in the Sorting/Grouping tab.
Hope that helps.

thanks for the reply. Where can you change the units in the default "length" instance parameter?
thanks

Never mind, figured it out. Need to use something other than the default in the schedule field format.
