Hi all,

I'm struggling to find if there's a way to stop a foundation system from carrying all the way along a wall and stop it short of one end? My project has a precast wall for the gymnasium and one side of the wall has an extension that runs high across a corridor and ties into a perpendicular wall. I have a grade beam footing on this wall but when I edited the wall profile for the cutout it placed a footing on the extension so a foundation is floating 15' in the air. Any way to turn this off? I guess I can make the extension a separate wall but would prefer to keep this as one piece if possible. Pic below showing problem.

Thanks for any input,
Gipper

Separate wall. Depending on wall joins (if there are any others) you may need to disable joins for one or both of the walls in order to maintain precise geometric control over where the wall ends, then use join geometry to make the "joint" disappear.

You can do that or create your foundation short by about 1/16". It will keep it from snapping to the end.

Thanks everyone. I'll separate the walls.
