I have a user who is unable to use his quick keys in ACAD. It was installed the normal way as alway but his key board shortcuts don't work.

I type "reinit" in a vein attempt to reinit his pgp file but I get this error message instead.

Unable to find base.dcl

I have done a search on my machine looking for the base.dcl file and it is located in my support folder. I copy my dcl file to his suppor dcl file, yet I still get the same error.

What do I need to do? Where should the dcl file be located and how do I tell ACAD to look there...

I am using ACAD 2007 and he is using ACAD 2008

Thanks

Make sure your user's support file path points to the folder holding the base.dcl file.

It does sound as if your support paths are not pointing to the correct places. This may also be why the PGP is not loading ... since ACad can't find it. A standard support path setup looks something like this (for AC2008 Vanilla on XP 32bit Pro):
C:\Documents and Settings\< Username >\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2008\R17.1\enu\support
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\support
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\fonts
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\help
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\Express
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\support\colorIf you have further add-ons or extensions installed their paths may be added somewhere before, after or in between these as well.

The ACAD.PGP is usually in C:\Documents and Settings\< Username >\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2008\R17.1\enu\support, the BASE.DCL is usually in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\support.
