Section tool question

Hi guys,

What is the difference / advantage or using the diferent modes of the section tool. For instance "wall section" building section" "detail"

They get grouped differently in the project browser to help you organize your data. The wall section and building section are the same type of section, however the detail section is a little different. Read the help file on detail views because detail callouts and detail sections behave diff. from building and wall sections. I appologize for being vague but I'm not sure why they differ. An example is if you place a view callout of a stair you still see the break line and dashed lines for stairs above the cut. If you place a detail callout you will see a true cut thru the stair geometry at that location.
