Making a Gate

Hi Everyone,
Not sure if anyone else does this like me.

I make a wrought iron gate using a door family.

I had a problem that my gates did not seem to punch through the wall properly. It was as if the wall opening did not have quite enough depth to get through the whole wall. This was a problem for elevations as you cannot see through the gate to stuff beyond.

Anyway, spent miles to long discovering that if you select the wall opening, there is a transparent in elevation check box on the options bar.

Hopefully this will save someone else some wasted time.

That option is usually not checked by default in the out-of-the-box template.
