Has anyone tried running revit on one of the new netbooks (1.6 atom processor, 1GB ram, 160 Hard drive)? or on windows 7 beta?

There is a windows 7 thread here http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=93695&highlight=windows. (not on a netbook, though!)

As for the netbook, I have an Acer and haven't dared try to load Revit. These machines are so far below the Revit minimum spec that I doubt performance would be close to acceptable and the 1024x600 resolution has already caused a few issues (nothing major) with other applications requiring a 1024x768 minimum resolution. If you decide to go for it let us know how you make out.

Well, as I have noticed several other people on AUGI using it as well, I run very successfully RAC 2009 on two separate Apple PowerBook Pro notebooks using BootCamp and XP PRO 32bit with 4Gb RAM installed. Residential jobs mainly though, so I am not sure about anything bigger (well, one 8 storey high building too) but shadows or not - it runs well...

Also, some of my students have RAC 2009 on their Toshiba nad ACER notebooks as well (VISTA 32 + 4GB RAM)...

As to RAC 2010 - I don't know. I decided to skip this release altogether and wait for a substancial fix or RAC 2011 - whichever comes earlier... (my bet is RAC 2011).
