In the family editor, go to Parameters>New
Make new ones--name each one, like Height, Width, Depth, etc.
Make sure they are under the Dimensions category
and also Length.

Place reference planes at each face of your cube in top and side views.
Now, dimension your cube. Click on the dimension, and at the top of the screen,
select a parameter from the list, i.e. Height, Width, Depth, etc.

Under Family Types, change the numbers for the various parameters.
Make sure the cube changes its size properly. This is called "flexing" the family.
You can set the Parameters to Instance or Type. Instance will let you load into the project, make one size cube, copy it, and make another size cube. Type
will only let it be the initial size you created.

If all is well, Save and Load into Project.

Also, take a look at Revit Help and Tutorials under Families. This is a critical part of the program to learn correctly especially as you are just beginning to understand Revit.
