View Full Version : Door Tag doesn't match door number
I have a door in a drawing that the property set calls out as 11. When I tag the door, the tag shows 16. The tag is anchored to the door. I don't get it. Any help?

Make sure the column in the schedule table is getting the door number from the correct property set data. You can look in the extended data tab in the properties palette to see which property set is showing number 11.
If it's different in the table, just delete that column, then create a new one referencing the correct PSD.
The table is listing both doors 16 with the correct data about each opening......

can you post the drawing? Or at least copy the wall with the door, and the schedule showing what's going wrong.
Yea, but what you'll see is a door numbered 16 whose properties say it is door 11 and a cased opening numbered and properties of 16. The schedule picked up both openings according to their respective properties, so there is one of each.

Yeah, but I might be able to figure out why it's doing that.
Ok. Thanks for taking a look.

Wow, I've never seen that before. The weird thing is, if you tag the door in the interior drawing, it tags as number 11 like it should.
I don't know why it's doing it, but I did fix it. Open your A-FP01 drawing. Go to the tags palette and choose the renumber data tool. It should be set for door objects already. Set the start number to 11 and hit okay. Then select the door in question.
That will make it number 11 and the tag will update automatically.
That all seemed to make sense, but the logical computer doesn't seem to agree....didn't work.
Ok, must have been corrupt. I deleted the door, started over with a new door, and it worked.
Thanks for your time & help.
