Detail Callout in Plan Region

Good Day,

I have a floor plan with a plan region, I place a detail callout view in the area where the plan region is, but my detail view doesn't show what I see in my plan region. Is this correct? It doesn't set the view to the set view range of the plan region area?

If that's the case, then any ideas on a work around? The only thing I can think of is having a plan view with the view range set where I need it for that one detail, seems pointless.

Use a plan view callout. Detail callouts are “locked” to the cut plane of the view. It’s not really a work-around. That just how it works.

Perhaps Revit users need a new term: “Think inside the box!”

So now its an enlarged floor plan instead of a detail in the project browser.
