Sandy Nicholson asked in an email:

My Autocad 2000i always used to load the acadiso.pat file. Suddenly it has started loading the acad.pat file instead? Is there any way to control this?

It sounds like your default template got its variables changed. Open the template you create new drawings from and set the following variables to a value of 1.

Measureinit
measurement

Then go to the Options and search for the default setting of units, make sure you choose metric.
I know someone else will jump in here and give better directions. I am no longer running 2000i.

Hi

Richard is right on the money as always.... just to add my 1p worth, take a look at the following threads -

Different scales for lines in different viewports (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=4750)

Customized Hatches (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=4888)

ltscale restricted to viewport (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=6766)

Have a good one, Mike

I checked those variables (Measureinit & measuremen.t) and they are both "1".
I know Acad was using the acadiso.pat file because there a lot of patterns in there that are not in my acad.pat file. All of a sudden they disappeared from the Hatch Pattern Palette. I copied one of them from acadiso.pat to acad.pat, and lo and behold, it appeared. I don't want to start copying them all to acad.pat, because the scales of the other traditional patterns are all different. It shows up when you try to match a pattern. It comes in at the wrong scale. Any ideas?

Hi

System variable Measurement is saved in the Drawing, therefore you need to check / set per drawing file.

What is Measurement set to in your problem drawing file?
