How do people do this? I tried floor slab and wall sweep both. But for a single wall i can not show two or more different types of skirting. So if i have a wall running through some rooms and all those rooms have diffenret skirting, then how do i do this? Basically the intention is to get right skirting schedule. So to get how much is timber skirting and how much is vinyl skirting, for example. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

We do skirtings as wall sweeps, as well as dado rails - both on the same wall more often than not. Once a sweep is in place, go to the elevation of the room/wall and you get a control point at each end of the sweep - you can click on these and drag them to where you want them. We often have to do this to keep the skirting inside the correct room where a wall is shared by several rooms.

I've not attempted scheduling lengths but I assume you can.

Hope this helps...!

Since you want to be able to schedule it, there are two possible ways to do this.
1) create a thin wall style, and draw it nest to the wall you want this on. You'd then use the Join Geometry tool to join it to the main wall so openings appear in the wainscot wall. This has the added ability to have the height easily altered.

2) Create hosted profile(s) thin and tall, and then use the Wall Sweep tool to apply those to the walls in question.

Either method can be scheduled.

thanks Elrold and Scott.

Elrold, you are right about adjusting control point to fit skirting inside the room. but if you want to add another skirting in the next room then it doesnt allow you.

I like the idea of think wall that Scott suggested. I will give it a go and feedback.

Thank you very much.
