In place edit of linked file?

Is there anyway to edit a linked file from the central file? Meaning, if I have linked ceilings into the main model, and I realize while in the main model file that a ceiling needs
to be adjusted is there anyway to make the adjustment without having to open the linked file?

No sir, I'm sorry that is not possible at this time. You can open the second file in a separate session of Revit however, make the change, save and the reload in the other project file and separate session of Revit. Revit doesn't mind the circular reference made by linking files together but it doesn't let us open them both in the same session of Revit.

There is not. Furthermore one cannot have a linked file and its host open in the same session of Revit. If these are ‘stand-alone’ files you can open your ceiling file in a second Revit session, link in your main model, and make the adjustments.

If these are Workshared files, you may wish to employ a different strategy.
