We are contemplating further remodeling projects to a building we have worked on. So, the file has phases appropriate to the soon-to-be completed project. Has anyone recycled a revit file for reuse in a subsequent project?

In those cases, we TYPICALLY link it in to a new project. Any demo obviously has to happen in the later phase in the older model, but we do all the new work in the new file. Sometimes we blur those lines if theres a room getting gutted and refitted, and its all IN the old file. Then we will sometimes do that new work in the old file, but the documentation (sheets) are still in the new file.

Otherwise, youll have to prefix all your sheets with a 2, or something... Since you cant have redundant sheet numbers.

Unless youre talking about doing a Save as, and wiping out the old projects documentation... Which i DONT suggest, because then theres no correlation between the two projects anymore... And any changes to the earlier project will have to be made twice...
