Hello All,
I know I haven't been in here posting lately but I have been keeping up, we have been so busy that I am just now able to see over the pile of work in front of me. Anyway enough of that. I am trying to create windows for our office that have muntins in them that will grow from being two lights wide to three or four lights wide. I have read the posts regarding nested families and that is what got me to thinking of being able to do this. So has anyone been successful at doing this? I still don't fully understand the way an array works in Revit and I am willing to learn if someone want to teach me.

Thanks,

Read the parametric louvre threads in the families forum, buy yourself a helmet (bike, football, hockey) and maybe some other gear to protect yourself from self-inflicted injuries, and jump in.

Array your muntin, select the group, select the bar that pops up showing the array extents & count, and add a parameter to it (this will be the array count.

Then get into positioning & constraints needed to make it work. This is where the gear mentioned above comes in handy.

Rodney,

Take a look at this thread and pay attention to the attached file I posted from Joe at Revit...it is a sample of how to constrain arrays. Hopefully it will help!
