Joining swept blends

I can join geometry on all mass types except swept blends. After making a swept blend I array it and attempt to join it with join geometry. It won't work. I can join geometry with a mass extrusion to a swept blend but not a swept blend to a swept blend. Am I missing something?

Try doing the array with "Group & Associate" unchecked, and see if they won't join then.

If you're trying to join an element that's a member of a model group, that may be the problem.

Andrew, I tried it both ways and it still won't let me do it. As I said, swept blend are the only ones that are giving me problems with joining. Here is the error I'm getting. I can select "don't join" in the error message and they join without cutting which gives me a roof or wall where I want it cutout. Not what I want.
