Hi All.
I think I saw this once in a presentation, but I can't remember how it works. Please take a look at the attached jpeg. It's a simple wall that has 8" Precast Concrete Panel, a metal stud layer, and then 5/8" of GWB on the inside.
I would like the 5/8" GWB to wrap at window punches. As you can see in the plan view beyond the properties dialogue box, the GWB does in fact wrap. BUT... it wraps too far. Meaning the GWB cuts into the Concrete.
How do I control the extent of the wrapping?

I did a quick check and the layer is extending to the plane of the window. If you play with the window family a bit you will see that you can change the distance of the return.

if your a subscription member, Matt Dillon did a class at AU on a door family where he shows how to control the wraps through the door family.
It's something i want to revisit myself.

You're looking in the wrong location to set the wrap location. You don't do it by editing the wall definition (although that makes perfect sense). For some reason, Revit makes you define the location of the wall wrap in the family penetrating the wall, rather than in the wall definition.
By default, wrapping will go to the centerline of the wall. What you need to do is create a reference plane in the window family that runs parallel to the wall and is located the proper distance from the face of the wall. Edit the element properties of the reference plane and enable the "Wall Closure" option. Now finish layers will wrap back to this location rather than the wall centerline.

I was wondering with this wall closer till i see ur reply, thank you.
But look at the attached file, though i able to achieve my interior wall to be wrapped at door/window junction after adding reference plane as u said, my 12 mm finish went wrong, i don’t want this finish to break! Could you please tell me where i went wrong?
One more thing,
i want to know, do we need to add 12 mm plastering layer to avoid the floor slabs to be seen in elevation? Mostly the floors will extend till the core boundary, then its obvious we will see the floor slabs in exterior view (we can avoid this by offsetting the floors to avoid this, but that's is not the correct way to go i believe). Do every one show plastering layer in their project in revit?
