I was trying to post to this but there was no "new thread" button?
I was merely trying to suggest that there be a new subforum under the title "User Group Meetings". This seems to be a growing category and I would expect these groups to multiply more than the Autocad ones ever did.

Moderators, I'll leave it to you to move this thread if you feel it should be!

Les,

Thanks for your idea! Here's a little background.

The Revit Community Announcement and Suggestion forums are locked out (to new posts). These forums were logical and necessary for Zoogdesign. As AUGI however, since suggestions were for forum improvements, we made the decision to centralize it at the AUGI overall forum level rather than in each community. It is called Forum Feedback (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49).

The current forum structure offers an improved tool for announcements which allows us to make them visible in one, two or many forums at a time. These are announcements that only AUGI staff (mods/admin) can post. Of course, announcements that members wish to make are welcome too and can be in the form of a new thread in the appropriate forum.

Local User Groups (LUGS) have their own special place in AUGI. Check here LUGs (http://forums.augi.com/augilogout.php?url=LUGs). There is a forum and a LUG's specific calendar for events and are managed from a global perspective. Since AUGI actively supports LUG's it is consistent to have Revit LUG's participate in this way too. In fact several Revit LUG's already are, they just post a message in our community too until folks are accustomed to looking there for the next meeting's information.

P.S. Last month we briefly discussed LUGs on our Community Forum Front Page (http://www.augi.com/revit/default.asp?page=376). It's a reminder item this month. JB is making sure we update these pages at least once a month. Lot's to see and do here...but then there's "real" work to do too! :-(

Would it be logical and possible to rename existing Revit > General Information to Revit > Zoogdesign Archive? Then General Information would become available for other purposes and hopefully can contain up to date unlocked Announcements and Suggestions.

(P.S. It is a good idea...)
