Hi,
Are there any guidelines on how to naming family files and what is the organize way to categorize family files?

There are numerous threads with volumes of responces, here and in the Revit in Practice forum. Search on them

I think what Scott is saying, is that there is no universal consensus on family naming. However, it seems there are three, maybe four general methods out there, and a search of this forum will point you toward them.
We do these things:
Wall types: Named by the wall tag string, like "M3A".
Lab casework types: Likewise named by the casework tag string, which is the type mark.
Doors: Frame and panel configuration: HM1Lite, for instance, or HM1LiteTransom.
Windows: Try to follow the manufacturer's nomenclature.
Specialty equipment: Try to follow mfr. Like "Bobrick B-309".

I try to stay away from descriptions of assemblies, which is of course how AutoDesk names OOTB stuff.
