Are you looking for something like a twisted hexagon, or a spring?

If you want a twisted hexagon, you can use the Solid Form >> Solid Blend tool. It allows you to create a hexagon shape for the bottom and another one for the top. Then just rotate the top hexagon and play with the Vertex connectors to get the desired result.

If you want a spring, then I am not sure.

Here is a spring like shape I did in Revit. I used the swept blend tool. First I establish a path that is almost a circle (Revit will not allow a completly circle path for the swept blend.) Then I drew the 2 profiles for the start and end of the blend. The second profile I moved up a bit before finishing the blend. Once finished it will sweep in the cirrcular path but because the profiles are offset it will sweep in a helical shape. ONce I had one shape I then made an array of a few of them to create the "spring"

Try using stair railings to make helical forms.

Attached is an example of a helical ramp, the walls and curb are just a custom profile for a handrail.
