INVALID FORMULA ERROR

I have a simple Cabinet family that is based on the Casework Wall Based template.

I built the family with some Dimensional Parameters with NO formulas - but evertime I change a dimesion for a new Family Type I get the "Invalid Formula" error message:?:

Why??? and How can I fix thsi?

I think your problem is with your formula "SHELF (2)". You probably shouldn't have parenthesis in the paramter name if you are going to use it in a formula. When Revit sees a parenthesis in a formula, it's thinking algebra, e.g. (x + y) * z.
