Window n Door

How do I insert a window or door into one of my structural walls? If I am using a generic 6" wall Revit will not allow me to insert a window. I am using Revit Structure Suite 2009.

Can you describe the situation abit more?
Are you using window fromt he Architectural tab?
What height is the wall?
what level are you placing it on?

What sort of error appears that doesn't allow you to place the window?
