I'm currently working on a school project that requires me to create underground parking for a 5 storey commercial building.

I'm well on my way but am having a problem with the site.

I need to find a way to have earth above the roof of my underground parking while still having it surround, and not be inside.

I have the ground created using 'site - topography'
I then created a pad using 'site - pad' for the interior of my underground parking to remove the earth from inside it.
I then created a roof by using 'modelling - roof - roof by footprint' for the roof of the parking garage.

My problem arises when I try to cover the roof with earth. I can't seem to find a way to make it so.

I am currently using revit architecture 2009

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Just tried something similar, not long ago.

ThereĀ“s two options i guess:

1.
Make an inplace topo on top of the parking garage "roof" to cover with earth,

2. Make the entire topo as an inplace topo, and use a void to cut the entire garage out.

(I ended up with option two, but only because the entire topo was rather flat))

How exactly do i cut a void in the topography? only way that I'm aware of to create a space in topography is to use a pad.

Use the Split Surface command.
