View Full Version : Bend or Skew
How can I get storm drain pipes to show correctly at a bend without a structure, or at a Skew headwall. One 1 side overlaps and 1 side doesn’t reach it.
It isn't a problem with sanitary sewer, We stick a big solid manhole symbol at every bend or intersection.
Are ya'll using parts builder to create bends or dawing over the pipes to make them look right?

You can't. Not that I know of anyway. You'll have to create a null structure (a structure that's there, but not seen).

There are not many people creating there own parts in Parts Bulider. There is very little documetnation on how to use it.
David Neil did a class at AU on the subject. I think he has created a complete set of water structures. Check AU Online for his class materials.
We have modified a few existing structures but have not created new ones.
Your simplest solution is to use a null structure as previously mentioned.

For the bends I use a null structure and have pipe clean up tuned on in the pipe style. For the head wall I create a style using blocks for the plan view and profile view with hide tuned on.
