schedule...tripping me up

this is a bit sloppy of a schedule.....the firm prefers the matrix with an "x" i think so i am trying to add a few (two) more columns under "walls" to each subcategory(front, rear etc.)...on the row with the 5/8" and "dens".....i have been trying to ungroup....then group....and i have gone back to the "fields" in edit schedule and added them but i'm not able to mange where they go.......

Unfortunately, the heading groups are static. There is no way to control where new fields go except to ungroup and group again... not the best but it's all there is as far as I know. New fields just come in without any grouping.
