some are coming in upside down and i cant seem to rotate

That's just the way it is, no way to change it. Revit assumed you're standing at the bottom of the hill, looking up and reading the contours. It's a long-standing wish.

yea, figured, sites like a bowl so half are upside down....thanks

Contours always read up-hill. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. There should at least be an option to always have them read up or to the left, the same as regular text.
