I was wondering when editing a family if it was possible to access both the start level offset and the end level offset variables. I was trying to figure out a way to get the slope of the member as in the Revit model as a variable within the family. Specifically I was trying to figure out a way to add a sloped joist seat based on the member's slope without having to enter that information in the joist as an instance or even type parameter.
Thanks for any help!

Is this an issue you can resolve by setting the work plane to be the top of the sloped member you already have?

Are you talking about a work plane in the Revit model or in the actual family? Setting the work plan in the model won't help (that I know of) since the joist seat would need to be adjusted in the family. Setting a work plane within the family would rotate along with the joist once it is slopped in the model...
