I would like to be able to create a family that will be recognised by an analysis program as a structural panel, and on that I can also add reinforcement to?

Anybody else?

Yes Adam I would also like this to be a feature for Revit.
At the moment there is alot of tedious wall maipulation to do the same trick.
Have pre-cast parametric families would be a bonus.
David Baldachino came up with the process of making component families under the wall catagories option but I am yet to test whether the attributes we want can be applied.

I don't use Structure, but does changing the 'Structural Usage' parameter of the wall not take care of the analysis problem?

To add to the topic of tilt-up, it would be good to have a built in function to define evenly spaced or manual spacing of joints, without the need to work with curtain walls or other workarounds.

Yes the structural usage button does work, but I believe Adam is after a component based wall object which can be loaded in to change the parameters of the object, but also having the ability to put our reinforcement and connections as well as have the analytical system tied to the component object of the tilt slab.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Have you tried using the path reinforcement tool? This actually does exactly what you are asking for. It is a bit tedious to use, and if you could perhaps set the rebar spacing and sizes and lay order within the family I agree that would be a nice feature. However there is scope already to do the precast walls. It's simply a concrete wall - with the path reinforcement detailed to match the wall. I guess several things will be missing here being the chamfers on wall joints - and now that you mention it tagging and joint connections would have to all be drawn with detail lines, although I guess its possible to use some families and keynote them...(sorry rambling now)

Yes it's possible, but I think having something abit more automated, it's not like tilt construction is a rare method.
