Please help... My office purchased the Revit suite and with that we got the Structural Detailing software and we've found it quite useful. However, we are having trouble with the "units" of the dialog boxes. For instance, we select the toolbar button to open the "plate" dialog box and all the units are metric. We'd much rather have the standard (American) units in feet and inches. We've managed so far, but we'd like to know if there is an option somewhere to change the dialog boxes to imperial units. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks to anyone who can help us change this setting. FYI... I know little to nothing about the program as it is not installed on my machine, but my search through the help and preferences did not yield any results.

Assuming it's built on top of autocad - try typing UNITS.

It is not a matter of "UNITS". That was obviously the first thing we tried. Unfortunately, that only affects the drawing units, and not the units of the dialog boxes. Thanks for trying...

Wait for the 2010 version, it was one of the news in the recent presentation of family 2010
"What’s New
Enhanced Modeling and Drawing Capabilities
AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2010 allows users to work in imperial units.
A new type of summary table for beams and columns according to American
standards was added to the reinforcement module."
