When I draw a simple closed polyline and then change the linetype to spline a gap appears, so the pline is no longer closed. Setting the plinegen to 0 still doesn't help. When I add lineweight the gap is still there. Also there are no osnaps at the ends the line once it is converted to a spline. .Attached is an image of what I see. Never had this problem with 08. Has anyone seen this and what was the fix?

When drawing the polyline, did you Close it?
ie on the command line [Arc/Close/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width] C

This happens to me too. As a workaround I break the closed splined pline at some point, breaking it into two pieces (you'll notice the other endpoint is right where the ghost gap was, and also that it was not necessarily at the close point) and re-join them, this gets rid of the gap, essentially turning the spline into a regular pline again with a lot of vertices. if I spline this new closed pline again, either the bug causing the gap is gone or its too small to be seen at my drawing scale. I'm guessing its a bug in how autocad displays closed splines.

we had a polyline that was once an AEC contour (exploded to polyline) that when listed, its properties showed the first 5 or 6 "points" in the polyline to be at elevation 0.00 but the rest were at the contour's regular elevation (365 or something)... Impossible right? It was not a 3d polyline either BTW. because of this weird property the polyline seemed to stop at a certain point and then showed a gap at the end. list your polyline to see what it shows for properties in the AutoCAD text window. Our workaround was to literally trace the polyline because breaking or trimming it did nothing to fix the problem.
