I am sure a very simple question
stairs are on ground floor in construct "ground floor"
pass through floor slab that is in construct "first floor"
How do I make hole in floor slab using Intrference command when items are in separate dwgs?
thanks

Welcome to AUGI and congrats on your first post.
I wouldn't use the interference command. I would Xref the stairs into the slab drawing, then draw a polyline where you want the opening to be. Then, right click on the slab and select Hole>add.

All you do is select the polyline and it adds a hole for you. The great thing about the holes is it gives you grip edit functionality. If the stairs move over 2', all you have to do is move the hole over 2'. It also lets you remove each hole you have individually.
