Revit Ceiling

Trying to put a ceiling in a room, but it is not seeing the boundaries and is putting it in the whole house. Have tried sketching the room boundaries but it goes back to the whole house parameters. Does anyone know what may be causing this and what can be done to correct it?

I have had problems with this from time-to-time.

One thing to check is to make sure your ceiling height is lower than the tops of the walls surrounding the space.

However I have on occasion had problems where the automatic ceiling would NOT work, no matter what the ceiling height, even when the tops of all walls around it were higher than my ceiling height. In those cases I had no choice but to just sketch the ceiling manually using Pick Walls.
