Room not properly enclosed message

Any ideas on why a room tag would cause a 'room not properly enclosed' message resulting in the room areas not being scheduled? This is occurring in an underground parking garage portion of the project only, where we are showing concrete load bearing walls and slabs. The walls and floors are marked room bounding, no ceilings are placed. If a room is created to the side of the plan, the room tags have no problem reading those room boundaries. This has left us puzzled......any ideas?
