I have created a multi-category tag (column, foundation & Base PL marks), and now all I am trying to do is edit the visibility settings. I want to be able to turn some of the lines on and off and have the text moved different distances away from the column for different instances. This is easily done with visibility and other simple parameters that work just fine in the tag family, but when loaded into the project none of the parameters appear in the element properties, and none of them are applied.

Any thoughts on this? Is it simply not possible to apply visibility and flexible instance parameters to a tag?

Thanks!

New at this but a thought, would you have to add a new project parameter in the project under settings, project parameters? Hope it helps not to far into Revit as of yet but learnin as I go.

The (shared) parameters I used are working great, what is not working are the family parameters I have added, and project parameters would not affect that.

Thanks for the idea. Anyone else?

Okay, I got it working. If anyone is interested: The probem was that tags don't support instance parameters so I had to make different types for each of my visibility options instead of having the options be editable on an instance-by-instance basis. This creates numerous types in my project, but works in the end.
