tick marks not filled in

I've been adding dim lines to some drawings. I've got my Dimstyle set up perfect. When I draw a dim line in model space, everything appears good, yet when I switch to paperspace and plot, the tick marks are drawn as only the silhouette (not filled in).
I hope I'm somewhat clear. Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Could be a (at least) couple things,
Check "fillmode" should be set to 1.

Or.. if you have "hide plot" turned on in your viewport settings.

Or, if your viewport view isn't parallel with your geometry (like you're in a 3d view)
