We use Trim as the archive for all corporate documents, including drawings. This is not perfect, but it,s the system we have. The problem is; on retreiving a drawing from Trim, it comes with a very long file name. This is usually discarded in the "save as" process to put it into a working directory, but occaisonally, this step is missed. The result is an Autocad file with a very long name (200 characters or more). This should not be a problem, but on shutdown at the end of the day, it seems to scramble the profile, which makes the next log-in fail. This requires the IT department to fix it - this being a network problem. The obvious answer is -DON'T DO IT. But every once in a while, it happens.
Question: does anybody else have this problem, and have you found a solution?
