Is there a way to get a parameter, or shared parameter in families to be controlled by a Project Parameter?

What I hope to do is be able to have a Yes/No Parameter, under Project Parameters, say "Building is Fully Sprinklered" and have this be accessible by families, so that calculations within those families could be altered by this setting under Project Parameters?

What you could do though is put the parameter in your family as type and create a series of schedules that call out the family and type name and this type parameter so that you can edit them all (or at least all of each family and type) in a single go.

Yes, but he wont be able to access it from different catagories of families for things like altering values of parameters in different schedules or families.

Ive been LONGING for this since my Digital Project days, when parameters and their values were project wide, in terms of constraints and editing geometry. Imagine the possibilities in Revit....
