From the Customer Q &A

"7.1 Can I use the product in trial mode or demonstration mode? Customers
provide prospective customers with the ability to use the software for a 60-day
trial period without an activation code (i.e.,in demonstration mode) with all
features except save, plot, and export. On purchase of a commercial license
Autodesk will provide an activation code for your Revit software."

From the Customer Q &A this response seems to suggest that the 30 day/60 day trial period, with full save plot etc. before needing to activate, that we benefited from previously will no longer apply to v7. How will this impact on
1. Evaluation of the new version alongside 6.1 - presumably I cannot put 7 on a clean machine without an activation code
2. If the 60 day trial period applies to the "Revit viewer" version without plot save and export this raises a number of issues for long term security of data, and the viewing of Revit Files by non licensed consultants or clients. Currently they can down load a copy and view files with no 60 day limit.

Sorry for the confusion.
Let me clarify.
If someone is in demo mode. This version doesn't expire, but you cannot plot, save, or export.

If you are in trial mode it lasts for 60 days and it is fulling functional.

I hope this clarifies.
