SHARED COORDINATES - UNABLE TO SAVE

Hello. I have a site file in which I am linking multiple Revit models. I am attempting to save shared coordinates but I often see an error message which reads something like "Unable to save coordinates because the project (workset) information is not editable"
Why is this happening? Is it because the files I am linking have worksharing enabled? Is there a way to avoid this while allowing other users to work on the files normally? Please help! Thanks.

There is a workset in the linked in file, that revit needs to change to save the location. Something like "Project Information" or "Project Setting" I can't remember the exact name. Open the linked file and check who has that workset borrowed, and have them relinquish.
