Exporting Schedules

Does anyone have any tricks to export schedules out of Revit and into ACAD? Are we stuck with the same lame export tools?

What I usually do is extort to ODBC, then do some queries in Access, and link that data into a Excel spreadsheet.
Finally, inside Autocad, you can insert and data link the tables from Excel.
