When we cut a Section Thru our Buildings, we normally keep it very min. View Depth, like 1" only... so we see only what we want to see.....
I know I know!! :-D
Our Trusses are nicely cut however we want to see thin line (webs) in our sections.
How do you guys handle this?

Go to View Properties>Object Styles and under Structural Framing-Joists change the Cut line weight to a lighter/thinner line--perhaps 2.
Does this help?

Apologies for not being clear cliff....
The Cut is Fine...but we also want to see the Vertical Lines connection from Top Web to Bottom Web....see pic.

Add Symbolic Lines to the truss family and set the visibility of those lines to show only when cut. If a category isn't there you can add a new one to the family's object styles.

Kreed,
I tried that but it shoots right at the Apex of the Truss while th actual cut is just half way....
But let me try again....will get back in a min.

I would just extend the section's view depth and then hide objects in view that you don't want to see.

Definitely go with patricks. No other will be worth the time to show it. Unless you want to go on and draw lines iin every sections ;-)

Hi
Agree with Patricks' idea too. Just set the view depth to the next web member. That can't be too deep to keep your sections from showing too much other stuff. Then just hide in view everything you don't want to see.

I usually have my building sections set pretty deep anyway because I like to show what's going on inside the building, in addition to the section information. It's sort of like interior elevations inside the building section.

I do the same and set the elevation linework to be very thin and/or grey so that it doesn't compete with the section.
